Our mission. Signature Tastes celebrates place-based taste: the exact dishes people love from real restaurants—plus the stories and food history that give each recipe roots.
How we source. We document recipes directly from chefs and restaurants (with permission and rights secured), from our catalog, and from reputable archives. When we quote, cite history, or include outside material, we credit the source.
How we document. We capture each restaurant’s recipe as it is actually made: ingredients (with brands when specified), weights/volumes, prep, cooking times/temps, sequencing, finishing, and plating notes.
Chef-verified fidelity (no home testing). We do not adapt or home-test chef recipes. The chef’s method is preserved verbatim. If clarifications are needed, they come from the chef; editorial changes are strictly for readability.
Optional context. When helpful, we may include clearly labeled “Context” sidebars (e.g., ingredient sourcing, glossary, regional background). These notes do not alter the underlying recipe.
Accuracy & updates. Food history and trivia are cross-checked against reliable references. If you spot an error, contact us—substantive corrections are dated at the bottom of the article.
Independence. Editorial decisions are ours. “Buy” buttons (e.g., Amazon/Books-A-Million) may be affiliate or sponsored; we label them.
Photos & media. We use original photography, restaurant-supplied images, licensed/public-domain photos, and (when appropriate) AI-generated illustrative images—never to mislead about a dish’s ingredients or origin.
Safety & allergens. When a restaurant provides safety or allergen guidance, we include it as supplied. Our content isn’t medical advice.
Transparency. Every article shows a byline and “Last updated” date. We welcome chef notes, reader tips, and regional corrections that improve clarity or safety.
